Founded by a group of friends in January of 2020, Willow Creek has been Iowa’s home for professional improv for the past five years. As Iowa’s Improv Theatre, Willow Creek provides our community opportunities to both watch great improv, and learn more about the art form.
We also seek to be a venue for local artists to “Yes, and” their next project, and “branch out” into something new. From live music and standup, all the way up to full Broadway musicals, Willow Creek is where all artists who seek to have fun, and want to help develop a community of working artists, can call home.

The closest parking lots are the city lot at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center or the Dubuque Street Ramp at the corner of Burlington and South Linn Streets. There is also sometimes street parking on East Court Street, just south of the theatre.
